Kaldor Keepsake

Tuesday, November 13, 2018

We're thrilled to be celebrating 50 years of groundbreaking public art projects in Australia in 2019. With so many exciting things in store for next year, we've been taking the time to reflect on our history by delving deep into the Kaldor Public Art Projects archive.

To share some of the treasures our search has uncovered, we've put together a series called #kaldorkeepsake, a collection of fascinating, revealing or whimsical objects selected from our archive.

Our first #kaldorkeepsake is from the project that started it all, Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s Wrapped Coast in 1969. This beautiful bundle of press clippings was collated by the Australian Press Cuttings Agency and sent to John Kaldor as a record of the monumental project.
